A Dedicated Digital Workspace for Sellers

Habs Market has introduced a dedicated Seller Portal to help eligible shops, entrepreneurs and businesses participate in online commerce through a more structured process. Available at https://seller.habsmarket.com, the portal connects approved sellers with the wider Habs Market ecosystem for product discovery, ordering, payment processing and coordinated delivery.

For many businesses, entering digital commerce can require separate systems for product listings, customer orders, payments and fulfilment. Habs Market brings these activities into a shared marketplace infrastructure so sellers can concentrate more closely on maintaining their products, serving customers and developing their businesses.

The Seller Portal forms part of Habs Market, the digital marketplace developed and operated by Habs Technologies SL Limited in Sierra Leone.

Structured Onboarding and Approval

Seller participation begins with account registration and a structured onboarding process. Applicants provide relevant business information, contact and pickup details, and the identity-verification information required for review.

Applications are reviewed before selling access is approved. Completing an application or identity check does not automatically authorise a business to begin listing products. Approval also depends on operational requirements, including a valid pickup location and whether the seller is located within a serviceable area.

This process is intended to establish clearer accountability between Habs Market, participating sellers and customers. It also helps the operations team confirm that approved sellers can be supported through the marketplace and delivery workflow.

Managing Products and Marketplace Activity

Once approved, sellers can use the portal to publish products, maintain listings, receive orders and monitor relevant business activity. Clear product information, accurate availability and responsible listing management are important parts of providing customers with a dependable shopping experience.

The portal gives sellers a central place to manage their participation in Habs Market instead of relying on fragmented messages or informal order records. This creates a clearer connection between the products customers see and the information used to process their orders.

Sellers continue to manage inventory at their own approved business or pickup locations. They are responsible for keeping product details and availability accurate and for preparing confirmed orders for collection within the applicable operational requirements.

From Customer Order to Delivery

When a customer places an order, the Seller Portal helps the participating business receive the order information needed to prepare the correct products. The wider Habs Market workflow then connects seller preparation with operational review, pickup coordination, delivery assignment and customer confirmation.

This connected process is designed to improve visibility across the order journey. Sellers can focus on preparing items correctly, while Habs Market coordinates the operational stages required to move an order from the seller’s location to the customer.

Delivery confirmation is an important part of completing the transaction. It provides an accountable handover point for the customer, seller, delivery personnel and marketplace operations team.

A Controlled Settlement Process

Habs Market uses a controlled settlement process for paid marketplace orders. Customer funds connected to a seller order are held during fulfilment rather than being treated as immediately available seller funds.

After delivery is confirmed, the eligible net amount moves through the applicable settlement process. Once the required settlement conditions have been completed, available funds can be requested for withdrawal and processed through the authorised finance and administration workflow.

This structure is intended to support transaction accountability while orders move through preparation, delivery and completion. Current commercial terms, fees and settlement rules are made available to sellers through the Seller Portal’s Legal & Policies section and may be updated as the service develops.

Managing Earnings Through the Seller Wallet

The Seller Portal includes a dedicated wallet system that gives sellers clearer visibility over funds connected to their marketplace activity. Through the Finance area, sellers can review their wallet balances, withdrawal requests and transaction history in one organised location.

The wallet separates funds according to their current stage in the order and settlement process. Funds awaiting release are connected to orders that have not yet completed the applicable fulfilment and confirmation requirements. Pending funds are progressing through the applicable protection or settlement period. Available funds have completed the required conditions and can be requested for withdrawal. The refunds balance identifies funds assigned to eligible customer refunds where applicable.

Sellers can connect an approved withdrawal destination, with Orange Money currently supported through the wallet interface. For account protection, sensitive wallet actions are secured through a seller-configured withdrawal PIN. Sellers can also review withdrawal activity and transaction records through the dedicated Finance sections of the portal.

When funds become available, the seller can submit a withdrawal request. The request then moves through the applicable authorised finance and administration process before payment is completed to the seller’s approved withdrawal destination. A balance displayed in the wallet does not mean that the entire amount can be withdrawn immediately; only funds classified as available are eligible for a withdrawal request.

The wallet is designed to help sellers understand where their money is throughout order fulfilment, confirmation, settlement and withdrawal. Applicable fees, settlement conditions, withdrawal requirements and other commercial terms remain governed by the current information available through the Seller Portal’s Legal & Policies section.

Supporting Business Participation and Growth

The Seller Portal is designed to give participating businesses access to digital infrastructure that would otherwise require significant time and resources to establish independently. Through one ecosystem, sellers can connect their products with marketplace customers and a coordinated order and delivery process.

Habs Market’s immediate priority is to strengthen seller participation responsibly, improve the range and availability of products, and learn from real marketplace operations. The company will continue refining seller tools and support processes as the marketplace develops.

The objective is not simply to increase the number of listings. It is to build a more dependable environment in which approved businesses can participate in digital commerce while customers receive clearer product information and a structured purchasing experience.
